Why Missional Ways?
Just to clear up potential misunderstanding from the start: some of you might have thought that this website was named Mission Always. This is understandable, correct, and in fact quite appropriate. However we meant Missional Ways when we thought it up.
Missional Ways refers to behaviour, life-style, conduct. This is exactly what we would like to focus on: ‘What does it mean to live missionally in our culture?‘.
We believe that Missions is not an activity of some select super-Christians, but should be close to the heart of every follower of Jesus. ‘Following Jesus‘ and ‘living missionally‘ are synonymous.
However, a quick search on the Internet will show that we are talking ‘big buzzwords’ here… ‘Missional’ is right up there with other hard-to-define concepts such as the ‘Emerging’ church (don’t get me started!).
Buzzwords are good fun, but not very practical.
We could spend hours and hours writing this blog full of deep theological discussions on the topic of missional living (well, 
we could if we would study some more, maybe…) but this is being done. And by people much more qualified. Just check our Blogroll.
We would just like to keep it simple. Talk about our struggles in ‘doing it’ for example. Most probably we will wander off and discuss other ‘deep stuff’ and that’s fine, but really we want to share Simple Stories of Missional Living. We know some of you out there are working through these things too, hopefully many of you are. We want to learn from you!
Coming posts will be a mix, therefore, of ‘Personal Stories‘ and ‘Topic Posts‘.
